The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in conjunction with Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries co-hosted a music concert of “An Evening with A Star” and a reception in Beijing on May 30, 2012 on the occasion of the 10^th Anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of Timor-Leste & the 10^th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Timor-Leste and China.

      The Concert was conducted by Timor-Leste’s most prodigious composer, conductor and musician, Mr. Maestro Simao Berreto.

      Visiting Timor-Leste Foreign Minister, H. E. Dr. Zacarias Albano da Costa and the Vice Foreign Minister of P.R. China, H. E. Mr. Xie Hangsheng attended the reception and made speeches.

      During the event, Timorese students, Chinese frineds and artists gave excellent performances.
