The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste has taken part in the Workshop on Cooperative Programs for Vocational Education and Training at 2012 China Annual Conference for International Education, on Friday 19th October 2012, at Jinghun Hotel, Beijing, China.

The Embassy was represented by Mr. Azevedo Marcal, Economic, Investment and Trade Assistant. The representative was able to meet with some potential partners from diverse vocational education and training institutions/universities in China.

We have had chance to hear from some potential partners and some have expressed interest for cooperation in both formal and non-formal vocational education and training. Some institutions are willing to offer scholarship for Timorese students from 15-18 years old up to universities. They are also interested in developing exchange programs for students, teachers, administrative staff, and for researchers among institutions in China with those in Timor-Leste.
