The 7th Conference on
China-ASEAN People-to-People Friendship Organizations was held in Vietnam's
capital Hanoi, on Thursday 16th August 2012, with participation of
Vietnamese high-ranking officials and representatives from ten ASEAN member
countries' friendship associations with China and
one representative from Timor-Leste, Mr. Helio Brites, MA.
The objective of the conference was to
strengthen relations between China-ASEAN countries. This relation is one of the
most effective and dynamic relations between ASEAN and its partners, and
strengthening all-sided and constructive ASEAN-China relations is not only
beneficial to peace and prosperity in Southeast Asia, but also to peace,
stability and development in the region.
